WHY CATS EAT PLANTS

In nature, a cat would live on birds and mice and such like, eating them feathers, fur and all.

Your own cat is probably not getting enough roughage by eating the tinned food you give him and so he tries to make up for this by eating your houseplants.

Why not grow some grass in a flowerpot for him? The rough kind is what he likes best, called couch grass or dactylis glomerata. He will prefer this to your houseplants.
