Wolfie the Dog Cat

Last year, we adopted a gorgeous long-haired white cat with blue eyes and perfect hearing. His name was "Q-tip", which just didn't seem to be right to me. As I got to know him, I realized he reminded me very much of a big, white, fluffy dog I once knew, named Bear. Bear's owner's nickname was Wulfgangh, so I decided to rename "Q-tip" "Wulfgangh von Catticus", or Wolfie for short.

Now, he does have kind of wolf-like features to his face, and he adores playing with balls. But I didn't know how much of a dog-like cat I had until yesterday.

He meowed at me. I meowed back at him. He sat waiting, staring at me. I meowed again and started slowly walking. He meowed back, and started following me, walking right next to me, looking up at me with those big, blue eyes. I walked into the living room, Wolfie staying next to me all the way. I stopped, meowed at him. He meowed back, still staring up at me. I turned and walked back to the dining room; he's staying with me, step-for-step. Meow. Living room. Meow. Dining room. Wolfie trotting by me like a perfectly-behaved little dog.

I really *am* starting to believe that Wolfie is Bear the Dog reincarnated in a cat's body!
